The Life and Times of Canadian Flutist/ Singer-Songwriter Rozalind MacPhail

Rozalind playing her new D bansuri made by Montreal flutemaker Francois Landry. It's made out of plastic/partical wood so that Rozalind can take it on tour and not worry about it cracking on the road...So far so good!
Wait till you play your B (low B) bansuri, which you can play only after a couple years on the C. It is simply so divine that you might stop playing the metal flutes altogether.
I am an amateur and now play a B Flat which I bought in Vienna in March 2005 and soon might graduate to an A.
As the bamboo warms up with your living breath, which is much more than just air, the bansuri becomes so alive.
Please try the full bamboo bansuri when you are not touring.
Rozalind MacPhail aka Mystery Flute Girl has become one of Canada’s most unique and captivating multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriters. She effortlessly loops guitar, flute, voice and toy instruments into her own blend of songs and soundscapes about the people and places she has connected with.
